A Fully Modular System
Our adventure mounts are all about flexibility. Built around a rugged 20mm ball system, this setup allows for lots of adjustability as well as rock-solid stability. You can approach your dash setup in two ways:
- The Starter Kit: Grab an Adventure Phone Mount Kit that includes your vehicle-specific base mount, mounting arms, hardware, and device holder in one easy package.
- Build Your Own: Want a highly customized rig? Build it piece by piece. Start with the base mount, add your mounting ball bases, pick out the right arm mounts, and finish it off with a phone holder, GoPro mount, or tablet holder.
This modularity means you aren’t locked into one configuration. Run your phone for navigation on the highway, swap to a tablet for topographic trail mapping, or mount your GoPro to catch the action at an off-road event.
Installation: DIY-Friendly and No-Drill
Nobody wants to drill holes into a brand-new dashboard. The Westin Adventure Mount system gives you a clean, factory-look installation that works seamlessly with your vehicle’s dash.
In the case of the 2025+ Toyota Tacoma, installation takes just a few steps:
- Prep the Brackets: Your kit includes a left and right bracket (the driver’s side is easily identified by a small drilled hole). Simply slide the provided clip nuts over the mounting bracket holes.
- Assemble the Hardware: Take your bolt, run it down through the top of the bracket, and place your spacer underneath.
- Dash Prep: Remove the factory plastic trim piece located right behind your infotainment center.
- Mount Up: Install the mounting brackets into the dash. Adjust them as you see fit, lay the base plate onto the brackets, and bolt everything down using the included hardware.
From there, you just decide how to configure your arms and device mounts. Keep them compact and close to the dash, or extend the arms out for optimal visibility.

Will this system rattle when I’m off-roading on washboard roads?
No! This kit utilizes a vehicle-specific metal base plate bolted directly to factory dash points – the fit can’t get more custom than that. The custom fit eliminates the constant rattling that plagues those suction-cup or vent-mount systems.
Can it hold heavy devices like an iPad or a mirrorless camera?
Absolutely. Metal arms and heavy-duty clamps on our tablet holder ensure that larger devices stay put. Just tighten the arm mounts to your desired tension, and you’re good to go.
Will I have to modify my dash?
No – yet another plus of the custom design. The system is 100% no drill, requires no mods and uses factory mounting locations (typically accessed by popping off a dash trim piece), preserving the value and look of your interior.
