For the past 11 years, Westin Automotive and Superwinch have hosted the annual Surf and Turf charity event for the Surfrider Foundation. While it’s one of the many events we attend each year, it’s also an opportunity to support a great organization dedicated to protecting our oceans and beaches.
This year, we were proud to sponsor the Surf and Turf event with help from other great companies like Falken Tire, Dana, EarthCrawler, ACFab, and XComp Tires. Hosted in Huntington Beach, California, it combined a morning of surfing with 18 holes of golf, giving the team at Westin | Superwinch a chance to showcase their mad skills on the boards and on the links.
About The Surfrider Foundation
Held annually, the Surf and Turf is a charity event in southern California for the Surfrider Foundation to promote awareness of a variety of ocean and coastal issues. The Surfrider Foundation provides local, regional, and national outreach programs dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s oceans and beaches by promoting initiatives like clean water, plastic reduction, and protection of the marine ecosystem. Westin | Superwinch has sponsored this event for the past 11 years and will be back again in 2024.
Westin | Superwinch At Surf & Turf
This year, the “surf” portion of the event was held in the morning at Bolsa Chica State Beach, while the “turf” portion took place later in the day at Meadowlark Golf Course in nearby Huntington Beach. There was a good turnout at the event, which included a raffle for prizes. But the best part was the money we raised for Surfrider.
“We raised quite a bit of money this year, but the cool part is what we do with the money, which is donated to the Surfrider Foundation… something that is important to our crew.”
